The Weavers are back! I have such a weird obsession with this show. At first, last season, I didn’t think it was going to last, but here it is, proving me wrong! I hope the fact they moved it to Fridays doesn’t really mean anything. I mean, Last Man Standing is (unfortunately) still standing on Fridays…so I have high hopes! This season starts off with everyone finding out about Reggie and Amber’s summer romance. Jackie insists they have a family conference to discuss the relationship and it is revealed that Reggie has a soul mate in the universe and things may not work out with Amber. This becomes all the more prevalent when said soul mate, Jane, appears at their door. Again, I hope beyond hope that this show lasts beyond a season 2 because I am in love with it. The humor is spot on and the characters are just hysterical. Weigh in! Let me know what you think!
Excitement Rating: 8.5/10
You can only imagine how this went.
Marty and Debbie try to explain to their extraterrestrial neighbors that they aren’t being attacked every October 31st, it is just Halloween.
They try to get the aliens into holiday spirit, but they don’t really get it. I particularly like Dick’s “Debbie” costume hahahahahaha.
In this episode, it is the kids’ first day of school and Marty and Debbie have the daunting task of managing not only their own kids on their first day, but also Dick and Reggie.
At school, Dick shows his alien self to some bullies that are bothering Max. Not good.
This show doesn’t get enough credit, I don’t think. It’s not doing poorly in the ratings so that’s good. I think a lot of people felt how I did initially (that it was sort of okay, but something was off).
We’ll see how it goes.
This has been my favorite episode so far. Jackie learns how to be a New Jersey housewife to fit in with Debby and her friends. I can’t even tell you how much I laughed about this. Big kudos to the lady who plays Jackie, she is HYSTERICAL. When she fell over the fence in the beginning of the episode I almost peed myself.
Also major kudos to the man who yelled “I’m going to jump!” and fell onto the golf cart near the end of the episode.
I am starting to get attached to this show, which I shouldn’t because it’s awful and is going to get cancelled!
There is something endearing about this show. It is awful, don’t get me wrong, but there is something about it that I can’t put my finger on.
I laughed very loudly when the Larry Bird said “Just two grown men embracing in the Republic of Bananas.” HAHAHAHA.
Do I think it will get a second season? Hell no. Do I think it will even get additional episodes? Absolutely never. It will be canceled. But for now, it’s a good filler between 8:30 and 9.
I am very surprised ABC, a network infamous for creating hit television shows, even went NEAR this one. I mean, seriously, I didn’t HATE it, but I definitely do not think it will last and get a second season.
There were some laughs, for sure, but I am not sure if I was laughing because it was actually comical or I was laughing because it was absolutely inane. I feel like I want to punch some of the characters right in the clavicle, but at the same time I feel like I don’t want to give it up just yet.
DON’T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE FAKE ASS ALIENS. ABC, you can do better than that special effects bullshit. I mean, you created Once Upon A Time for shit’s sake.
