Can I just say that even my 24 year old boyfriend was glued to the screen for this? If you haven’t watched the episode, then I strongly suggest you look away because I am about the spoil the shit out of your viewing experience! Well…Melissa and Joey had sex! THEY DID IT. Finally! But of course, there is always a hindrance into making their fairy tale romance a reality….and hindrance thy name is Austin! MY GUESS IS Mel is going to get pregnant after this fiasco and we will find that out in the spring. Thoughts? We will see Melissa & Joey back on the air in 2014.
Melissa & Joey, the show we HATE to love. I mean, let’s be honest….it’s a terrible, terrible show that only exists to harbor those nostalgic feelings we can’t let go of for the 90s. I mean, right? HOLY CRAP AND SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH IS ON A SHOW WITH JOEY LAWRENCE. Honestly, the writers and producers banged their head against a keyboard and the script for this show was the outcome of that. In this episode, we see Melissa and Joey dating opposite ends of a nasty divorce while Ryder struggles with being suspended after smoking weed on a school trip. Also, Lennox is useless as per usual.
Baby Daddy might be just as bad as any other show, but I appreciate what it is trying to do. In this show we see a character who is NOT the main character not have 1, not 2, but 3 love interests. I personally would love to see Riley end up with Danny, but we all know she is eventually going to end up with Ben. I almost wish they just took the baby out of the equation all together and made the show a buddy comedy with these characters, I think then it wouldn’t seem like a watered down version of Raising Hope. I do appreciate Tahj Mowry’s quips but I think ABC Family needs to stop pretending he is some kind of sexy casanova, because that does not work for me. In this episode, we see the boys trying to tell Riley that her new boyfriend, Kyle XY Fitch, is a married man only to figure out they should have checked their facts first.
In the season finale of Melissa & Joey, we find a struggling (not to mention, visibly jealous) Mel trying to cope with the fact that Joe is going to marry Elena not only for a green card but for the pure fact that he may have more than just sexy feelings for her.
I think that last season’s finale was a little bit better with the kiss between Mel and Joe but it still leaves us yearning and ready for season 3!
Melissa & Joey will return in the spring to tantalize us with more unresolved love conflicts!!!!
I really don’t care if this show is a ridiculous rip off of Raising Hope,I actually really like it. Tahj Mowry is hilarious and whoever writes his dialogue should be given an award.
This show actually has a pretty awesome cast. Look at this picture.
I really enjoy the Danny/Riley romance thing that is happening. Danny is ADORABLE and I love that Chelsea Kane is playing a former fatty. I hope they drag it out as long as they can because that will make the build up all the more fun :).
I am happy that sitcoms are getting a boost through this network. Before Melissa & Joey, sitcoms tanked on this network. Next week is the season finale so everyone tune in!
Does anyone else think Melissa & Joey has been oversexualized as of late? I mean, it doesn’t bother me, but this is supposed to be a family show right? Haha. There was a sex reference every 30 seconds on this episode, some very surprising ones that I would have expected from a Comedy Central show, but not so much this one.
So, who thinks Joe is going to marry Elena next week? I am not so sure judging from the title of next weeks episode….but, as requested, I will not spoil that for you guys 🙂
Awww, what’s the matter Jane? Sad about your cancellation? You are the ONLY one.
YES, thank you, ABC Family. This was probably one of the worst shows on television during the 2011-2012 season.
I was very shocked to hear it received the back 10 in the spring.
Upon receiving news that Melissa & Joey, Baby Daddy and Switched at Birth were all renewed for 3rd and 2nd seasons respectively, it was announced yesterday that Jane Quimby would no longer grace our television screens with her unruly hair, classmates that appear to be in their 30s and borderline boring person.
Oh well, Jane. Oh well.
Also, Bunheads received the back 10, but….I have no hope for it. That show is just as bad as Jane By Design was.
