While Ben’s weird sort of girlfriend randomly shows up, Kate expects Ben to be able to handle an emergency situation. Ben tries to prove to Kate that he can by setting up a fake emergency. The way he screams Maddie’s name when she actually goes missing was the best part. I love him.
Also Kate tries to get BJ not to sleep with their boss on the first date, which proves to be very difficult for BJ….I mean, her name is BJ, right?
Ben tries to throw Kate the 21st birthday party she never had for her 26th since she didn’t get to experience it when she was pregnant.
Kate, who didn’t want a party, is less than enthused but brightens when she sees her old friend Molly. Then she becomes less than enthused again when she sees all the crazy stuff Molly does that she does not want to do.
Ben and BJ also try to steal a tree from Ben’s ex unsuccessfully. BJ is probably the best person on the show.
I just found out that the girl who plays Kate is YOUNGER THAN ME!!! October 1989! Wut?! And she is playing a 26 year old?! I am June 1989! Wut?!
In this episode, Ben and Kate pick up an old family tradition of “The Fox Hunt” (which is pretty much an extravagant scavenger hunt) from when they were younger.
Kate is adamant on finally beating Ben, and with the not so awesome help of BJ, she succeeds.
I am so glad that this show was picked up for a full season!!!!! Great decisions, Fox!

This show is just beyond adorable and hilarious. I love all the characters, especially BJ! She’s awesome. I loved her line about the walk of shame and how there is nothing shameful about it “it just means your dressed for the next day.” HAHAHA.
In this episode, in order to keep Maddie in the good school that Ben and Kate went to as kids, Kate makes up an elaborate lie due to nerves about where they live (which is actually where Tommy lives). They throw a party at Tommy’s house and hilarity and uncomfortable situations arise.
Hahaha can’t wait for next week! I wish the ratings were a little better 😦

First Impression:
The trailer was funny enough, the actors seemed on the ball….could go either way.
Last Impression:
I LOVED IT. I highly recommend this show to everyone. The humor is right on and it is full of heart for those of you who need a little tenderness to their comedies. I was concerned this was just going to be another one of those annoying brother/sister/family comedies, but this really pulled out the stops and I am actually extremely pleased with the pilot. I can see that it will blend in very well with New Girl and Raising Hope. I will continue to watch this when it actually starts up. For now I give this show a 4.5/5, purely for surprising me!
